“Written after an evening walk across the street from my home, just north of Los Angeles, this song grew out of the night air and comfort of walking hand in hand with my husband as we made our way around the lake at the end of a long day.”

Cynthia Bernard, who records as marine eyes, is a musician, curator, and artist based in the greater Los Angeles area. Her connection to sound deepened after witnessing her grandmother lose her ability to speak after a stroke but still sing — an early experience of music as therapy. She curated Healing Together, a mental health benefit compilation featuring 23 women artists worldwide.

“I wrote this piece on the night of my father’s funeral. While it emerged from grief, it isn’t meant to feel heavy or sorrowful, but reflective and cathartic. Staying up to write it helped me process what I couldn’t yet put into words.”

Jessica Roch is a London-based composer, multi-instrumentalist and solo artist working across ambient, electronic and contemporary classical music, classically trained on violin and piano. She co-runs and performs with the London Ambient Orchestra.

““Underwater Tape” explores the vantage of a scaled venturous explorer swimming along contours of swaying aquatic plant life and sunken coins near the Tahiti Islands in the 1960s.”

Lauren Helene Green is a multi-instrumentalist musician, artist, and woodworker living in Northern New Mexico. One half of dream-pop duo Tan Cologne, Green shapes music, wood, and creative projects inspired by both Earthly and otherworldly landscapes.
